Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition,[1] moderate-vigorous physical exercise,[2] and sufficient rest.[3]

Before the industrial revolution, fitness was defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. However, with automation and changes in lifestyles physical fitness is now considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations.

Quite a mouth full of information to digest.

Basically, in order to have a great and long lasting life one needs to exercise, have a balanced nutrition and to periodically monitor your health.

It is not as simple as that since we all have different levels of exercise and nutritional needs which vary from age to age. You cannot employ the same regiment to a 15 year old as you would do to a 35 year old. A 55 year old person has certainly different body make than a 20 year old. Nutrition and fitness requirements depends on many factors and is never the same every month or for that fact every year. Life circumstances change from moment to moment that has somewhat positive and/or negative impact on ones life.

It is involved. There is no simple fact that will suit you at any time. One needs to educate oneself of ones body mechanics to understand how the body works before embarking and setting up fitness, diet and exercise regiments.
